1. Would you be friends with your clone? Why?

I hope I never meet my clone. The idea of human cloning sounds scary and mind-boggling.

2. Your life motto?

To paraphrase Apostle Paul's words in Eph. 5:16:

Use your time wisely because our days are short.

Over the years, I realize it more and more! I have often said and done things that I have come to regret. Or, I did not do or say things that I should have done or said, but then it was too late. Time is our best treasure - let's not waste it on something vain but instead, use it wisely - doing more of what's right, being more with our loved ones. Especially kids - they grow up so fast!

3. What would you suggest everyone try to do?

I have been learning about Hygge recently - Danish concept of happiness, which implies cherishing small everyday things, being content with simple life, simple comfort. Hygge also means mindfulness, slowing down and enjoying things that some people may even call mundane - tea in a nice cup, quiet time in the morning, cozy arm-chair, fluffy mittens, etc.

For example, it was snowing yesterday for the first time this year. After several weeks of slushy, muddy streets, everything turned white and glittery! It was really great to walk my dog, Billy Joe, outside in the snow! But the most important thing in hygge is to enjoy time with your close ones - family, friends, - and really treasure these people and those relationships. So, I suggest everyone try and get more "hyggelig" in their lives!

4. What is the last gift you gave?

The most recent gifts were to my niece and two nephews - Advent calendars with games, puzzles, crafts, and books by Andreas Schmacht! Full of cute, cozy stories to read while awaiting Christmas and New Year. Winter holidays - this is the best time to spoil kids a little bit!

5. Which Country would you like to live in?

It is great to have opportunities to travel - not just running through museums with a tour guide or sightseeing through the windows of a tour bus but properly meet people from various cultures, talk to them, visit them in their homes, make new friends, taste different foods.

I absolutely fall in love with every country I go to. But as the proverb says:

East or West, Home is best!

Though there are many problems in Russia and certain things are happening that I don't like or agree with, but this is my home. Nevertheless, maybe once I will decide to move somewhere else! Who knows?

6. If not yourself, then who would you like to be?

When I was 4 years old, I wanted to be a Gypsy. Because Roma women in Russia have bright dresses with a lot of flair and lots of glittery jewelry :)

If to speak seriously, I admire women who can manage to do lots of things at the same time in life - have a successful career, run a family with several kids, run charity organizations, write books at the same time.

I try to learn from all people around me. But I don't think I want to be anybody but myself.

7. What do you value most in your friends?

Being trustworthy and understanding, along with intelligence and sharing the same life principles.

Stay in touch until the next issue!
