Doman Team Resolutions for 2020
We asked the Doman International team, “What’s your New Year resolution for 2020?” One of our core values is always trying to develop ourselves and reach goals. Here are the answers from our team:
Rosalind Doman:
My resolution is to improve my computer skills. I believe by doing this I will increase my productivity at work. I also want to see the very best in people and create an excellent work environment.
Melissa Doman:
My 2020 resolution is to use less plastic. When I heard that we eat nearly a credit card worth of plastic per week, I knew I needed to make changes. It may not always be convenient, but it's the best thing I can do for myself and our planet.
Spencer Doman:
My resolution this year is to read at least one new book monthly. I want to continue to prioritize learning more about the world and continue to try to decrease my screentime. Reading more will help me achieve this.
Susanna Horn:
My resolution this year, besides some others, is to get to bed before or at 11:00 during weekdays, to have a much better sleep pattern, consequently feeling rested and be more energetic to accomplish more projects for work and my private life.
Dr. Vijay Murthy:
I will respond to every opportunity that comes my way which will create resilient communities be it to improve health, develop healthy lifestyle, connect socially or to contribute to create social impact. I believe we are becoming less and less connected because of technology and by taking responsibility for collectively building resilience through active participation (not hiding behind the screen), I can find greater meaning and joy in life.
Morgan Doman:
My new year's resolution is to go salsa dancing more to increase my movement and decrease my stress. There are many studies saying the dancing helps reduce stress, improve brain function and sleep.
Jagjit Kaur:
My resolution for 2020 will be to leave caffeine as much as possible and to learn a new skill like salsa dance. Also, less screentime.
Jordan Christian:
My new year's resolution is to take more time for myself, by learning to say no to things without feeling guilty.
Niyati Patel:
My resolution is to grow more plants. Plants make me happy. Since I travel so much, it has been difficult to have plants in the house. My plan is to invest in succulents and water babies. Their endurance on little sustenance gives me hope to face challenges with more ease, and create a beautiful atmosphere at the same time.
Tatiana Naporova:
My resolution this year is to do my homework for every English lesson I attend. I want to improve my ability to speak English to reach the upper intermediate level, to communicate with English speaking people in the best way. Also learning foreign languages is a great way to train for the brain.
Julee Mahon:
My resolution for 2020 is to significantly decrease my screen time, phone, computer, tv, etc. In doing so I can take more time and focus on the aspects, things, and people that are most important to me.
Amla Saraf:
My New Years resolution is to be more mindful of what I consume (eat less meats, sugar, starch, desserts, etc.) and try to be healthy. I want to establish a healthy balance to achieve good health overall - stabilize my energy levels, improve sleep quality, and be better at managing stress/tension, all to improve and maximize productivity in everything I do.
