Dear Doman International Parents,

Since the 1970s, when the Italian government began first to reimburse our Italian families for the cost of our Advanced Program, my office has researched other possibilities of assistance for families around the world. I’m happy to say in the United States there has been considerable progress. For example, Florida reimburses our parents the full expenses of doman International Services. California does one better. Our parents do not pay us at all. We bill the state for the services that we provide. This is the ideal solution for our families. 

Below you’ll find the complete list of current states that provide one or both services for our brain-injured children. One service is Self-Determination (SD) programs. These programs permit parents to decide the very best treatment that they want for their children. The second service is the Education Savings Accounts (ESA) program. For this service, states provide educational funds for parents of children with brain injuries. Some states offer both of these programs. Some states offer one, while others, unfortunately, offer none.

If your state offers either of these programs, we strongly recommend that you apply for them. There can be a lot of bureaucracy and time involved. If you succeed you will be helping not only your own child, but you will be helping future Doman families from your state. The Italian parents that broke through in the 70s, permitted thousands of Italian children to benefit from our programs! Our mothers do not have time for breaking through in your state. This is why we strongly advise fathers, grandparents, and uncles to be delegated this important task.

 If you succeed with receiving funds, please notify my office, so we can inform our parents from your state. Perhaps, you’ll find in your state programs that we have not found.
