Update: Ksenia pursues her dream to an artist (Autism)
Ksenia was about four years old when her parents found the Doman Method®. Diagnosed with Autism, Ksenia had severe sensory hypersensitivity. She used to scream constantly. She did not understand well and had difficulty connecting with others. She did not speak much and her movements were disorganized.
Ksenia's parents began to carry out the Doman Method program with Ksenia without delay. They began with the holistic programs for Sensory Integration, Nutrition, Respiration, and Mobility Programs of crawling, walking, and running. Ksenia has been on the Doman Method® program for eight years now. During this time Ksenia has learned to perform more complex physical activities like brachiation, gymnastics, then skiing, and more. She has also learned the essential skills of reading, mathematics, and handwriting. Later, she has gone on to succeed at subjects of her school curriculum at the peer level.
In the course of doing the program, her parents have shared that the screaming gradually disappeared. Ksenia’s sensory perception became normal facilitating interactions with her family and friendly social behavior. She can now understand and speak in three languages fluently, Russian, Armenian and Georgian. With each appointment at Doman International, Ksenia's condition has improved more and more.
Presently, at 12 years old, she continues to delight us with her successes. She recently began to study English seriously and is making great strides in learning the new language. Ksenia writes stories, illustrates them herself, and is accomplished in various genres of fine art. She engages in art forms of plasticineography, painting, music, beading, to name a few. Ksenia is a talented young artist who has won numerous competitions nationally, and internationally.
In everyday life, Ksyusha is a real help to her mother around the house and a great example for her brothers to follow. She is kind and caring and is called “our angel” in her family. She is very sociable and is an easygoing conversationalist. Ksyusha loves guests and gladly presents her work to visitors. She takes care of her pets. Personally, she loves it when her house is neat and tidy.
Ksenia continues to be creative and dreams of becoming an artist. See her latest art using pencil shavings in the pictures below.
We are incredibly proud of Ksenia and her wonderful mother and wish them all the best! We wish for Ksenia's dreams to come true.
