Noah Reads His First Words (Autism)

After taking the online Doman Method™ Course: From Special Needs to Wellness, Noah’s mom immediately started a Doman Method™ Reading Program. Taught in Week 2 of the course, the Reading Program is an essential part of the Doman Method™ for helping kids with special needs grow cognitively. This video captured one month after the course, shows Noah reading his first words.

Noah is 4.5 years old, and while he is preverbal, he is still enjoying learning how to read and able to read his first words. In this video, he demonstrates not only the ability to read the words but also understand them, by matching animals with their names!

He learned these words after only seeing them twice daily, learning the words even faster than the recommended frequency! This shows the great potential and innate intelligence of Noah and other kids with special needs. This video captured the first time he was ever asked what the words were, so he had no practice! Still, he made it look easy.

Congratulations to Noah and his mom!
