Burhanuddin is Walking & Reading!(Trisomy 21)

Burhanuddin was diagnosed with trisomy 21 at the time of birth. He was a premature baby and mother noticed that he was delayed in all aspects of development especially in mobility as compared to other babies. 

His parents took the Doman Method® Course: From Special Needs to Wellness when Burhanuddin was almost 2 years old. Burhanuddin was not understanding equal to children his age. He was not walking at the time. He was not engaging with members of his family and would tune out often in the day. 

His mother began Burhanuddin’s Doman Method® program immediately after completing the course. She followed the recommended diet to give him the necessary health and nutrition to grow. She began with programs for mobility development and a Reading Program. As part of his Mobility Program, he built up to doing 36 feet of creeping on hands and knees daily. His mother shared that the Patterning Program was a game changer. He started walking 200 meters everyday within a few months of starting with the mobility programs! 

To support growing mobility and understanding, the family also took a consultation for the Respiratory Program for Burhanuddin. 

Within a year of starting with the Doman Method® program at home, the family took their very first Doman Method® Advanced Appointment online. At his evaluation, Burhanuddin, who is now 2.5 years old, demonstrated much improvement. From barely paying attention to his environment, Burhanuddin can now follow 2-step instructions easily. This brings him closer to his age-level in his understanding. He is more aware of his environment. He engages more easily with family members and happily does his program daily at home. 

He was now walking with no additional support! His mother was proud to share that he walks for all his needs all day long. Along with walking, Burhanuddin’s balance and physical strength have greatly improved. He can get up in the middle of the floor all by himself. This gives Burhanuddin a Walking Victory.

Moreover, since starting his program, he had seen over 300 single words and 50 couplets (word pairs). At his evaluation he performed extremely well showing he could easily read more than 100 words from the ones he had been shown before. His mother reported that he absolutely loves his reading program. This is a wonderful milestone and gives Burhanuddin a Reading Victory!
