Maria Thrives In All Areas of Development (Trisomy 21)

Maria’s parents learned of the Doman Method when Maria was about three and a half years old. They began the home treatment program soon after. 

Maria was diagnosed with Trisomy 21 at birth. At the age of three, Maria had just a few words of speech much like a one-year old. She had difficulties with depth perception, and could not run. Developmentally, she was far from being at age level in multiple areas of function. 

Parents did consistent Doman Method home program to help Maria improve physically, physiologically, and cognitively. Maria, now five years old, is above her peers in endurance walking and running. The physical program they did at home greatly helped improve Maria’s coordination, quality of movement, and manual abilities. She started reading books and can now speak in sentences! Her conversational skills are highly impressive and she loves to talk with her family and others and is able to express her needs very well!
