7 Recipes of Natural Cleaning Products for Your Home

 
 

Children with brain injury can be sensitive to any chemical or non-natural ingredients in products. Along with a having a strong Nutrition Program, as well as good water and air quality in your home, it is important to pay special attention to the household cleaning products that you use. As a Doman Mom, I’d like to share 7 recipes of safe and natural cleaning products for your home.

Laundry Detergent Pods:

  • 1 bar of castile soap;

  • 1 cup of washing soda;

  • 1 cup of vinegar;

  • 5 drops of Lavender essential oil.

    Recipe:

  1. Grate Castile soap on a fine grater.

  2. Add the essential oil to a cup of vinegar, and pour soap and soda.

  3. Stir and place in an ice mold, then allow to dry for 12-14 hours.

Dishwasher tabs:

  • 1 cup washing soda;

  • 1 cup baking soda;

  • 1 cup salt;

  • 1/3 cup citric acid.

Recipe:

  1. Mix all the ingredients.

  2. Add water, allow bubbles to settle, mix and place in an ice mold.

  3. Leave to freeze overnight.

    Instead of a rinsing agent, you can add a mixture of water and table vinegar in a ratio of 1: 1

    * Store tabs in a glass jar!

Universal kitchen cleaner:

  • 1 part vinegar

  • 1 part water

Recipe:

Mix in glass bottle with spray and use!

* This cleaner is the best for stainless steel!

Bath cleaner:

  • 1 part natural dishwashing detergent/liquid soap;

  • 1 part warm vinegar.

Usage:

  1. Apply to dirty surfaces and leave for 30 minutes.

  2. Rinse with a sponge and warm water.

Pipe cleaner:

  • 1 part salt;

  • 1 part baking soda.

Recipe:

  1. Pour cleaner to the drain.

  2. Add 200 ml of warm vinegar to the drain.

  3. Rinse with boiling water after 20 minutes.

Toilet Cleaning pods:

  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 1/4 cup citric acid

  • 1 tablespoon eco-friendly dishwashing detergent

Recipe:

  1. Stir and place in a silicone ice mold.

  2. Then let dry for 4 hours.

  3. Throw 1 pod in the toilet, rinse after 30 minutes.

    * Store in a glass jar!

Glass and Mirrors cleaner:

  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch

  • 2 cups of warm water

  • 1/2 cup of vinegar

  • 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol

Recipe:

  1. Mix all the ingridients and stir.

  2. Use glass bottle with spray.
